Welcome!
One of the most common questions business owners have when they meet me is, 'What do you do?' I've heard it over and over again and the answer isn't as simple as I do X. What I do is help businesses make the most of their time, energy, and resources. I have been helping businesses with a wide range of tasks for many years. Need a bookkeeper, you found one. Need help with your virtual shopping cart, I can do that too. Newsletters, ghost writing, database management and much more. Check out the Services Page to see what other services might make doing business a little easier for you.
Looking for Articles, resources and more. Check out the amazing information
available from this site. Need an article? The articles
section is full of them on every topic imaginable. Looking for a program
to do this or that? Check out the resources
page. All this and more is at your fingertips. Feel free to take time
and explore and see just what this site has to offer.
News & Information
Book of the Month, Coming Soon!
Staying on top of your business isn't just about doing the work. It's also
about know the industry and keeping up with the changes. This means reading
books, magazines, newspapers. Listening to the news and paying attention
to market changes and fluxuations. It can also mean changing your business
plans mid stream. What it does not mean is freaking out every time the stock
market takes a dive or buying something because someone else said it was
a good idea.
To help you stay on top of everything and keep good information flowing I will post one book a month that focuses on business innovation and marketing. If you have a book suggestion, one that has helped to propel your business, please send me a note so I can review it and possibly post it as the book of the month! (And yes, you could be the author so long as the book is beneficial to more than just one type of business.)
I look forward to seeing your reactions on the blog!
What is a Virtual Bookkeeper?
The only thing new about a virtual bookkeeper is the term virtual. Bookkeepers
traditionally work from an off-site location. It saves time, increases productivity,
and is just as secure as an in-house bookkeeper. The best way to work with
a virtual bookkeeper is to setup a secure way to share files. This could
be a folder on a secure server, remote access to your computer, or many
other secure options.
A virtual bookkeeper can do any task an in-house bookkeeper can do. From payroll and timecards, to reports and invoicing. Every step can be handled virtually. It's up to you to decide what tasks you are comfortable having someone else perform for you.
Working with a Contractor
For those who have never worked with a virtual contractor before I suggest checking out the hiring information page. From interview techniques to communication and contracts, this page is sure to have the information to get you started on the right foot with any contractor.
